Favorite Buyer Questions (before looking at homes)

Don’t just throw buyers in the car and start looking at homes! Conduct a full buyer interview, first!

Here are a few of my favorite questions in the buyer interview from Ninja Selling. If you have not yet read Ninja Selling by Larry Kendall, buy it here. If you want to learn more about Ninja Selling, click here.

Okay, here are the questions I like:

  • What did you like/dislike about your prior home-buying experience? What would you change?

  • On a scale of 1 to 10, how prepared are you to purchase a home? What would have to happen for you to be a 10?

  • What’s vs. Why’s. The pieces of paper exercise. List everything you want in a home, star the top three you cannot live without and tell me WHY.

The goal here is to create CLARITY so your buyers have the CONFIDENCE to COMMIT. Last thing you want to do is find the house and then find out they’re not ready for one reason or another. This process will also help save you and your buyers time during the search.

What are your favorite questions to ask buyers before going out house-hunting?
